While Lawson Lodge is blessed with many outstanding features including the
beautiful accommodation,
facilities such as the movie cinema, and our amazing
views, the one feature that makes us stand out from other venues is our own
private 9-hole Golf Course.
It is rare to find a property that offers a golf course where you have the
entire course to yourselves for the duration of your visit. At Lawson Lodge the
golf course is exclusively yours to tee off at your leisure, with no one in
front or behind you to inconvenience your game. Although you may be sharing the
course with the local Kangaroos, Echidnas, occasional Wombat or the beautiful
birdlife, all adding to the beauty of a round of golf at Lawson Lodge.
The course is only available to group bookings, whether organising a corporate
golf day, an annual tournament with a large group of friends, golf day for your
sporting or social club, as part of a conference, leisure accommodation getaway,
golfing weekend, to enhance your function or Christmas Party, or included in any
other package at Lawson Lodge.
Several packages are available and if required we can tailor a proposal to
include catering, drinks packages, function room, accommodation or a conference.
To keep costs down, self catering is also available on the barbeque. Please

The course itself is short enough for the social golfer to enjoy but defiantly
challenging enough for the lower handicap golfers. There are 6 dams and a lake
to contend with, and various other obstacles including hills, several sand
bunkers, dog legs and some bushland scrub towards the National Park at the rear
of the course. The lake runs alongside the first fairway, to test your accuracy
with your driver straight away. Many accomplished golfers have hit their first
shot in to the drink!
The scenery is inspirational, with the bush surrounds and Mount Macedon
providing a wonderful backdrop. It is a 9 hole, 18 tee course so if you also
wanted to play a back 9 there are different tee positions to change things a
little for you and add yet another challenge (the same holes). Par 34 for 9
holes or par 68 for 18 holes. And of course there is a full Club House,
including Sports Bar with sporting memorabilia and fully stocked bar, billiards,
fire place, and change room facilities.
The golf course has a full liquor licence covering all 53 acres as well as the
Club House, so if you want to enjoy a few refreshments on the course we can
service these via our motorised Golf Cart with built in esky.
If you require golf clubs, buggies, carts, balls, tees, umbrellas etc, these are
all available to hire, purchase or borrow, with around 20 sets of clubs for the
convenience of interstate travellers or the occasional golfer who doesn’t own
clubs.
